How can You Overcome Blogger?s Block

Blogger’s block may be something that every blogger will inevitably suffer from. Sometimes you may find it is very difficult to brainstorm suitable ideas to write about. The lack of ideas, creativity and inspiration usually makes you fretful. But how can you overcome blogger’s block?

You can try to reread your previous posts. Sometimes it’s helpful to reread an article of two from your archives when you’re stuck. Pick one you remember feeling really good about when you first wrote it. The idea here is to somehow regain that sense of enthusiasm you originally felt, and take that new energy and put it into a new article.

Go to some blog sites and read other blogs and news sites can spark endless ideas. You might want to expand on a topic another blogger covers and link back to that blog as a point of reference.

By doing this, you will be able to get ideas on what to write about. Maybe one or two things that you come across will tick something on your brain and remove the big block there. Once you feel yourself gaining momentum, copy and paste the content into a new post with a link back to the article that inspired you. Not only have you created new content, but you’ve hopefully begun a worthwhile discussion among your community.

When you’re feeling like you have nothing to write about, reading industry news is very beneficial for sparking a thought for a new blog. Subscribe to emails of daily news headlines from just a few of your favorite news sources. You can scan about two or three of them daily for current event-related blog posts. Subscribe to one news source that publishes views you usually don’t agree with to really get your creative juices flowing. You may even find something you’ve wanted to write about for quite some time and haven’t found the right approach for it. Even though your blogging is not in any way related to news, current events or politics, there is nothing wrong with checking out what is happening to the world lately. Sometimes, these things tend to have a small relation to what you are blogging about.

If you’re still having trouble writing, then maybe your current setup isn’t doing it for you. Have a pleasant workplace, so that you can think better. Sometimes a change of scenery can be enough to jolt your mind out of its comfort zone. Moving your PC or writing desk close to a window with a view or just rearranging your writing space will work wonders. A new environment can bring with it a fresh aroma that sparks your creativity. Anything that puts your thoughts in a new context, in a context unfamiliar to you, could be enough to change the way you see your content.

Above all, when you find nothing to write about, you can try to reread your previous posts, visit other blog sites, turn to news and change your writing space so as to get some inspiration.

WordPress plugins – SEO

WordPress plugins – SEO

The advantages using WordPress blog software, are the plug ins you can use to increase your Internet visibility. For you to use, there are hundreds of plug ins for almost all purposes. A category that is very interesting is the Search Engines Optimization plug ins.

If you log in your WP admin area and go to plug ins and select ‘add new’ type SEO and click the search button. You will see hundreds of possibilities. For the blog optimization, the best know are SEO Platinum, All In One SEO , Greg’s High Performance SEO or Simple SEO.

It is important that you install one of these plug ins. With WP blogs, you can’t go in the and change keywords or add keywords. Using these plug ins will help you with your search engines communication.

How do they work?

After adding one of your choice, usually you will find a link in or below ‘settings’.

Click the link to get into the option page. There you will be able to add ‘Home Title’, Home Description’ and ‘Home Keywords’.

You can control ‘canonical URLs’, the use of tags for keywords, the use of ‘noindex’, etc. You can also exclude pages, Additional Post Headers, Additional Page Headers, Additional Home Headers. It gives you perfect control of what you want to do.

The most important reason to use these plugins is to tell search engines what you are interested in. If you are in the lose weight business, you want search engines to identify your title as a ‘lose weight title’ or a ‘related lose weight title’.

Your description must reflect what your title says and what visitors will find on your blog. You can use your SEO plugin to add post headers, this will tell search engines that these words are important to be indexed.

SEO plugins (most of them) enable you to add title, description and keywords just under the new post or the new page.

These plugins are especially made to create your blog as friendly as possible with search engines, including Google, of course. They have been created with the understanding of what search engines are asking to give your blog a higher ranking.

You must understand that installing SEO plugins is not a guarantee of top 5 ranking or #1 position in search engines, but without them you might not be able to reach these ranking at all. Put all chances on your side.

Also, do not forget to install XML Sitemap, Broken link checker, statpress to name just a few important plugins to install.

Are online money making businesses and surveys real or are they just scams?

Question by bruno ravioli: Are online money making businesses and surveys real or are they just scams?
I see adds on the t.v. for these money making businesses and surveys all the time. The people on them say they’ve made thousands of dollars a day and week. I don’t know whether I should believe this or if it’s all just a spoof.

As far as survey sites go, I have never personally heard of anyone actually making anything more than pocket money from these sites – but you never know – it might be worth a try. Even after you join the site, you have to do a lot of initial work in terms of signing up with loads of companies from the list that they give you, which means filling out lots of forms, before you can start doing the surveys. I’m not saying you shouldn’t give it a go, but the IMPORTANT thing is not to sign up to ANY survey site that wants to CHARGE YOU MONEY. There are a lot of free ones out there, and there is no reason to get suckered into paying for the privilege.
As for money making businesses? Yes there are people who make loads of of money in businesses both on and offline – but here the important thing is NEVER to believe that you will start at that level of earning without a lot of hard work, and a big learning curve.

Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers ? All You Need to Know

Everybody knows that affiliate marketing is a great way to earn a regular income on the internet. However things change when you examine affiliate promotions for your blog. It is important to attend to even the littlest details to make sure that you can get all of the benefits of doing affiliate marketing on your blog. Here are some of the things you can do to make sure you are properly leveraging your blog for your affiliate marketing interests.Blogging is by no means , a brand new type of marketing , but it’s still very powerful and new launches such as the Rapid Cash Tornado Bonus launch will be utilizing it.

Understand the Needs of Your Blog Readers: If you want to correctly serve your readers and earn money from affiliate sales, you need to actually understand your readers and what kind of needs they have.

To do this, you need to study how the trends change, analyze the responses your readers have to your affiliate offers as well as figure out exactly what they want and need. If you feel that your content and the affiliate products you’re promoting don’t really match up to your their interests and aren’t serving their needs, then you need to work towards getting your blog more in sync with what your readers want.

Placing Banners: If you choose to use banners to promote your affiliate products you need to be very smart about where you want those banners to be placed. Your blog readers need to be able to spot your banner ads as soon as they load your site. As an example, make sure the banners are at the tops of your pages instead of at the bottom. It is also a terrible idea to try to cram too many banner ads onto your site because too many banners means, believe it or not, fewer clicks and not more. Choose to promote two affiliate products at the max when you’re promoting them with banner ads. Make sure that these products are of top quality and actually live up to the potential that you chose them for. Your readers are going to see anything advertised as a personal recommendation by you so make sure you’re choosing good products.Blogging is in no way , a brand new form of marketing , but it’s still extremely effective and new launches such as the go click cash launch is going to be utilizing it.

Track the Results of Your Work: Most of the affiliate programs out there offer you the ability to use their tracking system so you’ll know which of your links are working for you. The kind of system that you get with your affiliate program may not be that in-depth, but most of them make it easy for you to know what’s selling. Keeping an eye on your results will make it simple for you to plan out your future affiliate promotions and ensure that you extract the most out of your efforts. Keep a track of which products are selling, what positions your links work well in, what kind of content generates the most response, etc. Use the information you gather to plan out the future of your promotions.

No matter what kind of niche you target with your blog, what matters most is that your affiliate products are of the highest quality and that they serve your readers well, when you promote these they will help you reach your goals. You will find new product launches happening constantly for example , and nearly all of them will benefit from Blogging.

Internet Marketing Tips For The Total Beginner

It’s not hard to find resources on internet marketing, as this type of business model has been popular for over a decade now. Despite all this information, many new internet marketers have a hard time getting started. Internet marketing can be made a little simpler if you stick to some proven techniques, such as the ones that follow.

If you really want to see some change in your profits, then start working on an email marketing list. If you’ve been around at least a little bit, then that is something you’re sure to have heard before. If you don’t have a marketing list, then unless you really expand your marketing your profits will hit a plateau. Ask any millionaire marketer, and you’ll hear that marketing to an email list as the one thing that made a huge impact on their profits. You’ll always hear marketers referring to their lists as like having their own personal ATM machine.

However, not all marketers take the time to build a list, and instead they just want to one-off sale from a first-time visitor.

You’ll find it much more difficult to have a highly successful business without a list. However, if you’re like most marketers, then you would want to build a business that will be around for a long time and can absorb the ups and downs of IM. If you just keep your eye on the immediate gains, then you’ll lose out on the real profits that are to be made. There is targeted traffic, and then their is really targeted traffic, and the latter is the kind you can have with an email list. You’ll also be able to take advantage of the Lifetime Value of your subscribers on your list. What that also means is that each customer from your marketing list is much, much more likely to make another purchase from you.

Another very effective internet marketing strategy is to start a blog that is targeted to your niche. With a blog, you can both post content and receive valuable feedback about what your visitors are looking for. The preferences of your customers and prospects should be what motivates your internet marketing decisions. Your blog gives you a way to both gain information about your customers and provide them with relevant material. Your blog will act as a vehicle to grow your reputation and at the same time drive traffic to your website. Another reason to have a blog is that they are well ranked by the search engines.

The very best approach to dealing with people in your market is to try to help them with good content that addresses certain issues and problems. Show them that you’re here to help them out and that you truly want to assist them in finding a solution to their problems.

One quick way to business failure is to appear that you’re only in it for the money, and that you’re not interested in creating win-win situations. Be real, be human and try to look at things from your prospect’s point of view. Get into their shoes and see how they could be convinced, and then be as genuine as you can. Internet marketing takes some knowledge and work, but once you learn the ropes it’s not that complicated. Your success with it depends on how well you understand the whole concept.

Internet Marketing Money-making Methods

Internet Marketing Money-making Methods
If you know a little about Internet Marketing you can make a great deal of money on the internet. There are various ways to make money online, and each one can be very lucrative if you do it correctly. We’ll discuss some of the methods of making money online, the profit potential that each of these methods hold, and how you can be successful in adding them to your online portfolio. You can make a great deal of money in a short period of time if you put in the work and educate yourself on website promotion SEO methods.

One of the most common ways to make money online is by selling your own product. If you have written an information E-book, then you can easily sell this product online. Driving traffic to your site will result in a certain number of sales with varying conversation rates depending upon the quality of traffic, and the product itself. The price is also a factor, although not so much as many people think. If someone is looking for your particular product, then they will usually be willing to pay a fair price for your E-book.

Another method that is used by many to make a great deal of money online is affiliate products through a website such as Clickbank. These products will pay somewhere between 50 and 75 percent to the affiliate. This can be a great method to make money online because there are so many affiliate products to choose from. Many prefer this method because they don’t have to create the product themselves, and the only thing that they need to worry about is directing people to their landing page in order to make money from this method.

Some people use the Google Adsense program to make money from their website, or to make extra money from the website. Adsense is a program that allows you to display relevant ads on your website and to make money every time someone clicks on one of the ads. The amount of money that you make per click will vary, and Google does not disclose the percentage that they pay to advertisers, but most internet marketing experts agree that the percentage is around 25%. That means you are likely to make $ 0.25 if the advertiser is paying $ 1.00 per click.

Combining some of these methods with a product or service that you already sell can mean extra income for you and your business. Adding Adsense onto pages that get a lot of traffic can result in extra money each month, and if you get a decent amount of traffic will certainly pay for your hosting each month. Virtually any information that you provide will have related products and many of these products may have affiliate programs, or be listed on Amazon.com which has an easy to use affiliate program that you can become a part of.

How to Write Great Blog Posts As a Freelance Blogger

How to Write Great Blog Posts As a Freelance Blogger

I’ve written over three hundred paid posts since I started out as a freelance blogging, and I’ve also written well over a hundred for my own blogs – in addition to dozens of guest posts. I’ve picked just three crucial tips for writing great blog posts, especially when you need to keep coming up with fresh content.

These cover the three key factors of structure, content and language.

1. Get the structure right

Do you struggle over introductions? Do your posts end abruptly, leaving the reader wondering if there’s a second page or a bit missing? Does the point get buried somewhere in the middle? Is your post too short – or too long?

Having a framework for your post (whether that’s just a checklist in your head, or a written template) helps you to get on with the writing without struggling to know what to say next.

It ensures that your post flows from a gripping introduction to a strong middle and a firm conclusion.

Here’s a basic template that will suit most blogs, and which will ensure that your reader doesn’t end up lost in a sea of text:

Introduction:
Briefly explain what the post is going to be about. No heading needed.

Section One:
Give this section a heading which explains the content. Put one – three paragraphs in this section.

Section Two:
Give this section a heading which explains the content. Put one – three paragraphs in this section.

Section Three (optional):
Give this section a heading which explains the content. Put one – three paragraphs in this section.

Closing:
Sum up, invite reader feedback or comments.

Think of this framework as the bare bones of your post: everything else gets layered over the top.

2. Make the content interesting

Coming up with great ideas can be a struggle, especially when you’ve been writing for the same blog(s) for a while. Don’t be tempted to just churn out variations on the same old content – recycled ideas always smell a bit stale.

So where do you keep finding inspiration? It can come from all sorts of places, from something you see on a walk, to a computer game (Sims 3 has given me a couple of blog posts…) In Unit Six of my , I offer some sure-fire ways of generating ideas, including using lists, notebooks, news stories and brainstorming.

You also need to make sure your idea isn’t just of interest to you. Reading comments on other posts is a great way to get a feel for what will resonate with a particular blog’s readers. These types of posts are usually a safe bet:

“How-to” posts that teach readers, step-by-step, how to do something (that they’re interested in!)
Lists of ideas around a particular topic, eg. “Things to Do On a Rainy Afternoon”.
Posts which solve problems or answer common questions

3. Use conversational language

You may need to adjust your natural writing style a little in order to fit the blogs which you write for. Some blog editors want quite personal, introspective content – others like humour and pop culture references that’ll make readers grin.

For even the most staid and serious blogs, though, you’ll want to use a conversational tone. Don’t try to use long words, complicated industry jargon, or elaborate phrasing: just write in a clear and straightforward manner.

Generally, you can afford to have a bit of fun with your posts. Use light humour to engage readers, or try starting a post with a short anecdote or funny story. Don’t be afraid to use slang or informal language – you’re not writing an essay.

It takes most bloggers a while to find their natural voice. This isn’t something you should force (copying your favourite writers never works well), but don’t resist the emergency of your personal style either. There’s no one “proper” way to write in the blogging world, so let yourself experiment a little.

There you have it: three steps to writing great posts, every time! If you can get the structure right, make the content interesting, and use conversational language, you’re well on your way to becoming a well-paid staff blogger.
